Free printable activities for 7 and 8 year olds

Seven and eight year olds can hold instructions for a few steps in their head. That unlocks proper worksheets — a math page with eight problems, a reading passage with three comprehension questions, story sequencing where the kid cuts and pastes events in order.

Two-digit addition and subtraction (with and without regrouping), simple multiplication facts, telling time, and money problems all fit this age. On the language side: short reading passages with comprehension, beginner crosswords, word searches, and creative writing prompts that ask for one or two sentences.

Mazes and logic puzzles get more interesting now too. A 15×15 maze takes a few real minutes to solve, and that focus is itself a skill being built.
