Third grade is multiplication-table year. Times tables to 10 (then to 12), beginning division, simple fractions (halves, thirds, quarters), and two-step word problems all click at this age. On the reading side: half-page passages with five or six comprehension questions feel right.

Logic puzzles take off here. Easy sudoku (4×4 and 6×6), simple logic grids, beginner Caesar ciphers, and harder crosswords sit at the sweet spot between solvable and challenging. Print a mix of math, reading, and one puzzle per session.
