Turn a Picture into a Connect-the-Dots Worksheet
Upload any simple line drawing — a coloring page, a piece of clipart, your own sketch — and it becomes a numbered dot-to-dot puzzle you can print. Pick how many dots, switch between digits and ABC, and print. Trace it instantly in your browser, or let AI tidy up a busy picture first.
What kind of picture works best
- One clear subject. An animal, a character, a single object. The outline of that subject becomes the numbered path; a background gets stripped away.
- Bold, simple shapes. Coloring-book pages, clipart, and children’s drawings all convert well. Intricate or heavily shaded artwork has no single clean outline to follow.
- Every run is a little different. The same picture won’t give exactly the same puzzle twice, so if the shape isn’t quite right, press Try again.
How to use it in class or at home
- Number recognition (Pre-K): keep it around 20 dots with digits numbering and the large dot size.
- Letter order (Kindergarten): switch numbering to ABC to practice the alphabet sequence.
- Make it personal: scan a child’s own drawing and hand it back as a puzzle — or build one from a classroom mascot, a favourite animal, or a holiday shape.
- Check before printing: toggle Show answer to see the finished picture the dots will trace.
